Founded in Melbourne in 1997 by award-winning Chinese-Australian artist and educator Yaping Jiang, New Star Art School brings together the strengths of Eastern and Western art education.
For nearly three decades, we have helped children build strong artistic skills while nurturing imagination, confidence, cultural awareness and independent thinking.
Our students are encouraged to explore, create and discover their own artistic voice. Many have received awards and scholarships, exhibited their work publicly, and carried the creativity and confidence developed here into their future studies and careers.
Through exhibitions, competitions and community projects, we give every child opportunities to be seen, celebrated and inspired.

World Art Journey
World Art Journey is a unique art education program at New Star Art School that takes students on a creative journey through the world’s great artistic traditions. Each term, students explore a different historical period, discovering how art, culture, stories and human ideas have developed throughout history.
