Program Overview
World Art Journey is a unique art education program at New Star Art School that takes students on a creative journey through the world’s great artistic traditions. Each term, students explore a different historical period, discovering how art, culture, stories and human ideas have developed throughout history.
Term 1: Ancient Egypt
This term, students journeyed back over 5,000 years to explore the fascinating civilisation of Ancient Egypt. Through our World Art Journey curriculum, they discovered how art reflected the Egyptians' beliefs, daily life, and the afterlife. Students learnt about pyramids, pharaohs, hieroglyphs, and ancient symbols while creating artworks inspired by this remarkable civilisation, developing both their artistic skills and appreciation of history and culture.

Term 2: Ancient Greece & Rome
This term, students explored the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Ancient Greece and Rome through our World Art Journey curriculum. They learnt how art celebrated mythology, architecture, and everyday life while discovering famous landmarks, gods and goddesses, sculptures, and mosaics. Inspired by these classical civilisations, students created a range of artworks that developed their creativity, artistic skills, and appreciation of history and culture.

Term 3 The Middle Ages
The Middle Ages was a time of castles, knights, kings and beautiful churches. People created art to tell stories, share their beliefs and show the world around them. Students explored Gothic buildings, stained glass, medieval stories and mythical creatures, and created their own artworks inspired by this fascinating time.
